The Felícia Leirner Museum and Claudio Santoro Auditorium have constantly sought to make venues increasingly inclusive for all audiences. Considering the particularities of the institutions, given that the sculptures were distributed by the artist herself, constructing a narrative for the course, and the Museum being an open space, located on uneven terrain, the work is incessant.
Currently, visitors can see:
- Tactile model with all the space of the Museum and Auditorium;
- Tactile map with all the space of the Museum and Auditorium;
- Boards with double reading information – ink and Braille, to be handled by the visually impaired public;
- Audio guide with an approximate duration of one hour, containing information on cultural equipment, as well as artists Felícia Leirner and Claudio Santoro, and the local environment, and inviting the tactile exploration of elements of nature;
- Six sculptures selected for tactile exploration, with special touch legend (double reading: ink and Braille, plus the work relief);
- Communication and identification of pathways by levels of accessibility difficulty;
- Handrails on stairs;
- Lift and adapted bathrooms;
- Specially reserved places for wheelchair in the Auditorium;
- Parking spaces identified and easily accessible.
The project was coordinated by ACAM Portinari, Felícia Leirner Museum and Claudio Santoro Auditorium, counting on the specialized advice of Noninclusive – Consultoria em Ação Educativa e Cultural (Amanda Tojal and Claudia Aoki). The tactile model produced by Dayse Tarricone – Maquetes & Accessibility and the audioguide by the company View with Words – audio description (Lívia Motta).
